We are Todos

Independent, plural and decisive

We are a civil society organization with a single objective: to truly change the quality of Basic Education in Brazil. Non-profit, non-governmental and with no connection to political parties, we are financed by private resources, not receiving any kind of public funds. This guarantees us the independence necessary to challenge what needs to be challenged, to change what needs to be changed.

Our History

Todos was founded on September 6, 2006, at the Ipiranga Museum, in São Paulo, the day before we celebrated the Independence of Brazil. It was there that we established our commitment to All for Education. After all, a country is only truly independent with quality education for all.

Our mission is to contribute in improving Basic Education in Brazil.

FAQ

Todos is maintained by donations from individuals, companies, institutes and foundations. These contributions can be in cash or services.

Here, you can find all the people who somehow support and/or contribute to the work of Todos, which is coordinated by an executive team with extensive experience in Public Education. In addition, we have a very large list of people who helped in the great mobilization made in 2006 to found Todos, our founding partners - most of them are still engaged! - and many people who have been invited over the last few years as full members in recognition of their support and engagement with the cause of Education. Annually, we present the Todos accounts to all members for approval, share our annual plan and listen to suggestions. Every two years, this same meeting elects our Governance Council - this is well detailed in our Bylaws.

A significant part of the process of building technical proposals from Todos Pela Educação to improve the quality of Basic Education in Brazil takes place together with specialists in public management, educational management, academics and education professionals (eg, school managers and teachers). They are people from different backgrounds and ideological hues, but who have, in common, an unequivocal commitment to improving student learning and building proposals informed by field evidence. Educação Já!, our main and most recent technical proposition initiative involved a group of more than 80 experts.

Doubts, complaints and suggestions about Education can be discussed directly with the school, the school board and/or the school network to which the school belongs. Or by contacting the Ministry of Education (MEC).

This can be done at any time by accessing “Contact Us” and submitting your request.
