Advocacy for effective public policies

We are an independent organization that advocates for Basic Education in Brazil.

Our focus is to ensure that public authorities formulate and implement public education policies more effectively.

We believe in education focused on integral development. That guarantees learning, is welcoming, safe, pluralistic, anti-racist and democratic. A public school prepared to expand future opportunities and change life trajectories.

We are not affiliated with political parties or private interests. We are funded solely by voluntary donations from individuals and organizations. We have the autonomy to challenge, propose, question, and demand the changes that are needed—always based on research and solid evidence.

Our way of doing advocacy

On a daily basis, our actions are organized into three pillars and aim to impact four specific dimensions: prioritizing education by public authorities, formulating quality public policies, quality implementation and ensuring the sustainability of these policies over time.

Direct advocacy: By uniting the production of applied knowledge, articulation with the government and mobilization of specialized debate, we help to promote the advances that our Basic Education needs.
Public monitoring: We develop studies and recommendations that provide in-depth and practical support to those who make decisions in the government. Our technical publications are anchored in data, research and successful experiences in Brazil and abroad, providing more support for public sector managers who wish to impact their leadership based on a broad and systemic agenda.
Coalition articulation: We articulate coalitions with experts and organizations from the education sector that share our purpose to work in synergy and achieve common goals. This union strengthens the joint production of knowledge, encourages the creation of learning spaces and drives more coordinated action by social organizations with public authorities, increasing the collective impact of individual actions.
